Who I Am & My Work History
My name is Alexia. I’m a multidisciplinary creative, focusing on writing and digital marketing.
My love of books and reading as a child grew into a passion for working with words and stories. This led to my degree in English Literature and Linguistics (Goldsmiths University, London), which then developed into an interest in communication and its broader impacts on society.
In 2020, fresh out of university and in the middle of the pandemic, I used my skills in content writing and my growing interest in digital marketing to gain experience in freelance writing through Lexi’s Critiques (1st edition). I eventually got a full-time job in content writing with a local company in 2021.
During that experience, I learnt a lot and refined both my writing & digital marketing skills. After some time, however, I realized that I wanted to take my skills in a different direction. This led me to leave my position in Spring 2022, and get a Diploma in Digital Marketing with DMI. After that, I focused on rebranding Lexi’s Critiques into a business where both skill sets can thrive and collaborate.
My Values
How you express a narrative is essential and can have a significant impact on you and others. Through Lexi’s Critiques, I aim to raise awareness and help people use the best tools to achieve the best results – but most importantly, in an authentic way that honours the client’s values and vision.
I wish to be a collaborator, a cheerleader, and a helpful guide; I believe that the work we do should be honest and empowering to those who work to create it and those who will benefit from it.
